Laura Vandervliet moved to
Sterling
Silver Stables in July 2010. Based until now near Unionville, Pennsylvania, Laura is continuing the Mosing family’s development of Sterling Silver
Stables world-class equestrian facility, where instruction of riders of all age
and levels of experience and expertise in horse training are priorities.
Now a top eventing professional, Laura began her career in childhood, working with horses owned by friends and neighbors, and since then it has spanned many different horse sports. Throughout her life with horses, horsemanship and the development of the horse are the goals that have remained consistent. Laura’s diverse background influences her event training today, and she believes her horses and clients benefit
from this. As she says “I grew into eventing, and my clients grew into the sport with me.” She now competes at major FEI three-day events and has the equine athletes that will keep her competitive at that level. She currently campaigns two advanced level event horses, the syndicated Mighty Mangaroo and Kathleen Overbaugh’s King Billy.
Developing skills across a number of different disciplines, Laura has trained with and continues to study with some of the best competitors and trainers in the equestrian world. Laura worked as assistant trainer to Phillip Dutton, True Prospect Farm, and Scott Hassler, Hilltop Farm, and she has studied with such well-known masters as Jack Le Goff, Betsy Steiner, and Jimmy Wofford.
